David Paul Maloy, 68, of Montgomery City, died on Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
David Paul Maloy was born February 16, 1954 in St. Louis, to Paul Maloy and Audrey Beatrice Ivy Maloy. He was a veteran of the United States Army and married the “Love of His Life”, Della Marie Dobbs, on February 17, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 25, 2020.
Mr. Maloy was the maintenance man at the Montgomery City Apartments until his health started to decline. In earlier years, he was a mechanic. He also worked for a concrete company, South West Sealers in Fort Worth, Texas. His job was sawing concrete. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, being a mechanic and fixing anything that needed attention. Mr. Maloy enjoyed being with all his family and friends.
Mr. Maloy is survived by his children: Paula Marie Murr and David Lee Maloy, both of Montgomery City; and Sandra Dawn Maloy of St. Louis; grandchildren: Koby Aaron Murr, Jordan Kyle Hicks, Dylan Ryan Murr, Ryleigh Ann Nichole Maloy, Alexis Marie Evans, Patrick, Kyle, Kate, Anthony and Stephanie; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Maloy was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Maloy and Audrey Beatrice Ivy Maloy; his wife, Della Marie Dobbs Maloy; grandson, Harley Lee Maloy; brothers: Rodger Maloy and James Mack Maloy; half-brother, John Deadman; and sister, Joe Maloy.
Mr. Maloy will be cremated. There will not be any services at this time.
