A 51-year-old male driver from Fulton suffered moderate injuries following an accident in the early morning hours of April 2 at the westbound 181.6 mile marker of Interstate 70 outside of Jonesburg.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 2:34 a.m., the driver ran off the left side of the road and struck the concrete barrier. He returned to the roadway before running off the right side of the roadway and overturned. He was driving a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, which was totaled. He was transported to Lake St. Louis West by ambulance.
The driver didn’t wear a seat belt.
