An Elsberry male was killed in an accident on the intersection of Highway E and Highway DD, just north of Bellflower, on the morning of Dec. 12.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 76-year-old male was driving a 2015 Chevrolet 1500 westbound on Highway DD when he pulled into the path of a 77-year-old male from Silex, who was driving a 1998 Western Star Conventional northbound on Highway E. The Western Star Conventional struck the Chevy on the driver’s side.
The Elsberry male was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Schlanker Funeral Home. He was wearing a seat belt.
The Silex male suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Troy.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes.
