The Missouri Department of Revenue recently awarded a five-year contract to the Montgomery County Farm Bureau to manage the Montgomery City License Office.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on July 19 in front of the license office to celebrate the occasion. President Ernst Uthlaut and board members Bobbi Weekley, Maria Stille, Bill Cope, Rich Kleinsorge and Jeff Zerr from the Missouri Farm Bureau were in attendance as were the Montgomery City License Office employees Cathy Andell, Kristie Eldringhoff and Tiffany Ramo.
“We want to thank all of those who have worked diligently to secure this contract,” Uthlaut said in a statement. “This was an effort of staff, customers, members, elected officials, friends, neighbors, Montgomery City Chamber of Commerce and Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce, who all recognize the value of Montgomery County Farm Bureau continuing in the management of the Montgomery City License Office.”
The Montgomery County Farm Bureau and the Montgomery City License Office are both located at 652 South Sturgeon Street in Montgomery City.
The Montgomery City License Office has been well-known for its great customer service. It was awarded the Missouri License Office of the Year in the small-market division last year.
“The Montgomery City License Office staff, under manager Kristie Eldringhoff, is known far and wide as being friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and thorough,” Uthlaut said. “They go above and beyond to help customers correctly complete the Department of Revenue business. Even when you register your vehicles online, you can choose the Montgomery City License Office to handle your registration. Our local staff will personally process your registration correctly and quickly mail it to you.”
The Montgomery County Farm Bureau has been in existence since the 1940s. It currently has over 600 members.
“We advocate for farmers, agriculture and the rural way of life,” Uthlaut said. “All are welcome to join our organization. There are many discounts and benefits with membership, as well as the offering of insurance through Aaron Schmidt. The Montgomery County Farm Bureau is committed to engaging and developing the next generation of farm leaders, encouraging rural entrepreneurs and giving back to our communities. Managing the Montgomery City License Office is one way we give back to our community.”
