At The Montgomery Standard, our mission has always been to serve the people of Montgomery County with reliable, local news that matters. Now, we’re asking for your help to ensure we’re doing just that — and doing it well.
We’ve launched a brief readership survey and we want to hear from you. Whether you read every issue cover to cover, or just check in occasionally for community highlights, your opinion is important to us. The survey takes only a couple of minutes to complete and covers everything from the types of stories you enjoy to how you prefer to read the news.
Your voice will help shape the future of The Standard. As we evaluate our editorial focus, staffing, and delivery methods, this is the perfect time to weigh in. We want to know what we’re doing right — and where we can do better.
In the first few days, we’ve already heard from more than 100 readers, and the feedback has been incredibly helpful. Some readers have praised our local event and sports coverage. Others have asked for more coverage of our local governments. All of this input is guiding our conversations moving forward.
To thank you for your time, everyone who completes the survey by August 10, 2025, will be eligible for a drawing to win a $100 gift card.
We hope you’ll take a few minutes to help us grow and improve. After all, The Standard exists for you — and with your input, we can make it even better.
You can take the survey at mystandardnews.com/survey.
Thank you for reading — and for helping shape the future of local news in Montgomery County.
