A passenger from Georgia was killed in an accident on eastbound I-70 between High Hill and Jonesburg on the morning of Oct. 10.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 46-year-old female driver from Englewood, Colo., was driving a 2024 Nissan Rogue and was changing lanes from left to right. The driver began to hydroplane and ran off the right side of the roadway, overturning multiple times. The passenger, who was 58 and female, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Montgomery County Coroner Jason Luna at 9:57 a.m.
The passenger was transported to Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City and next of kin was notified. The driver was transported to St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis.
