Joanne Meredith (Koby) Winters passed away at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City on Oct. 24. She was born on December 17, 1943 in St. Louis to Harry and Laura Koby. She met her husband-to-be, Tom Winters, at the age of 10 while
visiting her grandparents in Jonesburg. Joanne and Tom were married on February 6, 1965 in St. Louis and had two children, Tracy Ann and Thomas William Jr.
Joanne is survived by husband Tom of the home in California (Moniteau County); daughter Tracy Echols (Kenny) of Diana, Texas; son Thomas Winters Jr. (Karen) of California; and brother Jim Koby (Shearon) of St. Peters; four granddaughters, Heather Musick of Blue Springs, Ashley Epperson of Naples, Italy, Jackie Fulmer (Gary) of Hallsville, Texas and McKenna Echols of Diana, Texas; four great-granddaughters, Kierstyn and Makenzie Berry of Blue Springs and Kenedee and Kenlee Starr of Hallsville, Texas; one great-grandson, Braylon Starr of Hallsville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, Joanne is to be cremated with no services being held. Any contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
