A job fair and resource event is scheduled from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. on April 14 at Reach Community Church in Montgomery City. Multiple employers will be on hand to discuss employment opportunities.
The job fair is a great chance for recent graduates and experienced professionals alike to network with potential employers and learn about available positions in manufacturing, retail and healthcare.
There will be opportunities for same day interviews, so it is important for participants to bring copies of their resume and be prepared to discuss their skills and experiences with hiring managers.
The Literacy Council is working to bridge the gap between resources and families in hopes of breaking down barriers.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with local organizations/agencies offering great programs and services to Montgomery County.
The job and resource fair is free and open to the public. Come explore the many job opportunities for employment and land a dream job.
The event is a collaboration between Reach Community Church, Missouri Department of Social Services, Office of Workforce & Community Initiatives (OWCI) and Montgomery County Literacy Council.
OWCI partners with organizations, providers, community partners and other state agencies to offer services and resources that empower all Missourians to live safe, healthy and productive lives. For more information visit, mydss.mo.gov/owci.
The Literacy Council supports adults who are improving their literacy skills. Some are learning English as a speaker of another language; others are trying to complete their high school education by preparing to take the high school equivalency test. They also assist adults preparing for college, a new career or the U.S. citizenship test.
