Lawrence Hambach

Mr. Lawrence William Hambach of Warrenton passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. He was born on November 19, 1932 in Pendleton to the late William Adolph and Rose Elizabeth (nee: Beller) Hambach. Lawrence had reached the age of 89 years.

Lawrence served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He enlisted on September 9, 1954 and was honorably discharged on September 9, 1956. He was a lifetime farmer and he worked hard on his farm. 

Lawrence was united in marriage to Judith Katherine Hemmer on July 29, 1977 in Warrenton.  They celebrated 29 years together before her passing on December 12, 2006. He became a member of the Knights of Columbus 2341 at the age of 18. He grew up in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Jonesburg and was still a member until his death. 

Lawrence and Judy were active supporters of charitable and religious organizations overseas. They supported small fishing villages and even built a school that is named after them. He also liked being outdoors, enjoying the countryside and hunting. Lawrence was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Lawrence Hambach was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy; his parents, William and Rose; sister, Frances Krapf; and brother, John Hambach. Those who are grateful for having shared in his life are his four siblings, Helen Jones, Agnes Burns, Tony Hambach and wife Nita and Ed Hambach and wife Verena; and many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for Mr. Lawrence Hambach will be held from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 20 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Jonesburg, with a burial to follow at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Truesdale.
