The Montgomery County girls basketball team knocked off the Clopton Hawks 59-44 in a first-round game of the Montgomery County Invitational on Nov. 29. The Wildcats came back from a five-point deficit in the second quarter to advance to the tournament semifinals against Hermann at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. Sophomore Malia Rodgers scored 21 points and sophomore Olivia Shaw added 14 to lead MCHS, which improved to 2-0 with the win over Clopton. THEO TATE PHOTOS
