On November 27, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 19 near Wellsville for an equipment violation. Upon making contact with the driver and after further investigation deputies discover approximately several grams of methamphetamine inside the passenger’s purse. The passenger was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also on November 27, deputies assisted Montgomery City Police with a motor vehicle crash in which the driver fled the scene. The registered owner of the vehicle was located at a residence in Bellflower where deputies made contact with the individual, who was visibly intoxicated. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the MC Jail for processing on suspicion of DWI. The subject later provided a breath sample of .241% BAC and was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and driving while intoxicated.

On November 28, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the High Hill area for expired license plates. During the stop deputies learned the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and booked on operating a vehicle without a license.

On November 30, deputies responded to the New Florence area after Montgomery County Communications received a 911 call with yelling and screaming heard in the background before the caller claimed it was an accidental dial. After tracing the cell phone, deputies were provided a vehicle location on Booneslick Road near New Florence and soon located a white pickup traveling westbound. When deputies attempted a traffic stop the driver fled at high speeds, reaching over 100 mph and driving erratically. During the pursuit the fleeing vehicle swerved into a patrol unit, causing minor damage. The suspect eventually crashed near mile marker 171.4 on I-70, where deputies observed two occupants. A female passenger was detained at the scene, while the male driver fled on foot. With assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a search. Approximately one hour later the male suspect was located hiding inside a semi-truck on private property and was taken into custody without further incident. The male subject was transported to the MC Jail and charged with aggravated fleeing, assault special victim, careless and imprudent driving, armed criminal action and displaying plates of another vehicle.

On December 1, deputies responded to Bellflower for a report of trespassing. Deputies located the suspect vehicle in the area and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop the driver admitted to having a methamphetamine pipe in his pocket. As deputies approached to conduct a search of his person, the driver also attempted to discard a baggie containing several grams of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also on December 1, deputies received information regarding the location of a subject with an active warrant. Deputies obtained a Body Attachment Search Warrant for a residence in Bellflower. While serving the warrant deputies observed narcotic activity in plain view and applied for a second search warrant to search for additional narcotics. Upon executing the second warrant deputies located Naloxone Sublingual Film and methamphetamine packaged in a manner consistent with distribution. Both residents were arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with possession of controlled substances, delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
