On June 12, deputies were notified of a subject located in Montgomery City who had an active no-bond warrant for statutory sodomy, enticement of a child and child molestation. On June 14, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the New Florence area. During the course of the traffic stop deputies discovered the driver’s driving privileges were revoked and that he had an active failure to appear warrant out of Boone County. The driver was taken into custody, transported to the MC Jail and charged with driving while revoked. He was also held on the active warrant pending transfer to Boone County.
Also on June 14, deputies responded to Jonesburg for a report of a disturbance. The suspect had fled the area prior to deputies’ arrival. During the course of the investigation deputies learned the suspect arrived at the residence, damaged the front door and entered the property without permission. While inside the residence, the suspect confronted the resident in a threatening manner, causing the resident to retreat to a nearby residence for safety. The suspect continued causing damage inside the residence before leaving the area. Deputies submitted a probable cause statement to the Prosecutors Office requesting warrants for domestic assault, harassment and property damage. The investigation remains ongoing.
On June 15, deputies responded to a residence in Jonesburg for a reported domestic disturbance. During the course of the investigation deputies learned an argument had occurred between a mother and her 17-year-old son. The mother advised the juvenile was yelling and attempting to intimidate her during the incident. The mother also reported a 20-year-old male friend of her son had been at the residence and was asked to leave but refused. Deputies were able to de-escalate the situation and the 20-year-old male had left the residence prior to deputies’ arrival. Deputies later located the male at his residence and issued him a trespass notice from the property.
Also on June 15, deputies were in the New Florence area when they observed a vehicle that was associated with a person and vehicle previously reported missing. Deputies made contact with the driver who displayed signs consistent with possible illegal drug use. When asked if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle the driver stated he had recently dropped a friend off in St. Louis and was unsure if the friend had left anything illegal inside the vehicle. With the assistance of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, a K9 sniff of the vehicle was conducted resulting in an alert for the presence of an illegal substance. During a subsequent search of the vehicle deputies located numerous syringes and methamphetamine. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated.
On June 16, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway TT for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop deputies conducted a search of the driver and located two clear plastic baggies containing methamphetamine. Deputies also located a glass pipe, commonly used to ingest methamphetamine, inside the vehicle. Due to the amount of methamphetamine located, deputies believe the driver was involved in the delivery of a controlled substance. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, displaying the plate of another and failing to maintain financial responsibility.
