Stanley G. Smith, 87 of Wentzville passed away on Nov. 28, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born to parents George & Nettie Smith on August 28, 1935 in Wellsville.
Stan graduated from Vandalia High School. Stan served in the United States Army. He received a degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Stan was a pharmacist for over 50 years before retiring. He was married to Susie Young in 1953.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Susie; and children, Rick Smith (Diana) of Ashland, Kevin Smith (Kim) of Columbia, Greg Smith (Michelle) of Foristell, Robyn Lutz (Michael) of Wentzville. Pa Stan had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Stan was predeceased by his parents, six brothers and five sisters. Stan’s favorite things to do included painting, tending to plants in his yard, feeding the birds, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Dec. 10 at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. The funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
