Three drivers suffered injuries from a car crash that happened on Highway 19 south of Highway 94 on Dec. 23, a Missouri State Highway Patrol report said.
The report said that a 21-year-old Kirksville female was driving a 2005 Toyota Avalon and fell asleep and overcorrected. The car crossed the center of the roadway. A 26-year-old male from Foley was driving a 2011 Chevrolet HHR and attempted to avoid. The Avalon impacted the driver side of the HHR. The HHR traveled off the right side of the roadway, while the Avalon traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Both drivers, along with a 58-year-old male from Foley who was the passenger in the HHR, were transported to Mercy Washington Hospital. The Kirksville driver suffered minor injuries. The driver and passenger from Foley suffered moderate injuries and were not wearing seatbelts.
