An accident involving two trucks occurred on the morning on July 29 on westbound I-70, north of Mineola.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 48-year-old Covington, Ga., male was driving a 2018 Freightliner Cascadia at a slow rate of speed in the driving lane. The crash happened when a 72-year-old male from Capon Bridge, W.V., struck the rear end of the Freightliner.
The West Virginia driver suffered serious injuries, while the Georgia driver had minor injuries. Both were transported to University Hospital.
