The Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation District presented Conservation Awards during its open house on Feb. 18 at the USDA Service Center in Montgomery City.
Six awards were given out. They were Volunteer of the Year (Cassie Lenzenhuber), Conservation Farmers of the Year (Luke and Abby Stevens), Grassland Farmer of the Year (Bill Dreyer), Conservation Partner of the Year (Harry Cope), Cover Crop Champion of the Year (Jerry Overkamp) and Conservation Educator Award for Montgomery County (Tom and Pat Westhoff). Lunch was provided at the event.
