Wellsville-Middletown boys basketball wins districts

The Wellsville-Middletown boys basketball team captured its second district in three years after beating the New Haven Shamrocks 43-38 in the Class 2, District 5 championship game on Feb. 26 at New Haven. The Tigers also beat New Haven for the first time this season after losing to the Shamrocks twice during the regular season. Clayton Ebers scored 14 points and Keaton Mayes added 13 to lead W-M, which now has won 13 district championships in program history. THEO TATE PHOTOS
