Wellsville-Middletown boys hoops vs. Clopton in districts

The Wellsville-Middletown boys basketball team cruised past the Clopton Hawks 63-41 in the Class 2, District 5 semifinals on Feb. 24 at Clopton High School. The Tigers avenged the 40-38 loss to the Clarksville school on Jan. 12. Third-seeded W-M came back from a 10-2, first-quarter deficit to knock off the second-seeded Hawks and advance to the district championship game against New Haven. Jamel Mahaney and Isaac Seabaugh each had 14 points and Clayton Ebers scored 12 to lead the Tigers. THEO TATE PHOTOS
