Wellsville-Middletown Junior High basketball vs. Silex

The Wellsville-Middletown Junior High basketball team wrapped up its season on Dec. 13 with a 32-28 loss to the Silex Owls at the W-M gym.  The Tigers finished their season with two victories, one against Community R-6 and the other against Wright City. W-M's roster is comprised of four  boys and two girls and is coached by Steve Lasman.  Helanea McKenzie, the only eighth-grader on the roster, finished with 12 points, including nine in the second half.  Seventh-graders Madison Bickell and Shane Joles each had five points, seventh-grader Levi Varner had four points and seventh-grader Cody Swan added two.  PHOTOS BY THEO TATE
