A 54-year-old Wellsville female resident suffered moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident on the morning of March 22 near the intersection of Highway CC and Glazier Trail Road, just three miles east of Wellsville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist – who was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra – struck a pothole while making a turn at the intersection, causing her to accelerate. The motorcycle exited the left side of the roadway, traveled through a ditch before striking a tree and fence. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and partially pinned underneath it.
The female was transported to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
