Two Wellsville residents suffered minor injuries after an accident that occurred east of Columbia on I-70 on the afternoon of July 3.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 78-year-old male was driving a 2014 Lincoln MKX and struck the impact attenuator, became airborne and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top, facing westbound and blocking the right lane. A 79-year-old woman rode in the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were transported to Boone County Hospital.
