Jonesburg resident Emry Salazar competed in the Game 7 Baseball All-Star Showcase on July 26 at the Warrenton Athletic Complex. Emry was nominated for great tournament performance and effort and for displaying great sportsmanship during Game 7 events, which are held in Missouri, Illinois and Tennessee.
The all-star game gave players an opportunity to showcase their talent with other players who participated in Game 7 events in 2025. The all-star participants – including Emry – received tickets for the St. Louis Cardinals’ game against the San Diego Padres on July 25. They participated in the all-star on-field parade before the game.
This summer, Emry played on the Jonesburg-High Hill Fire Protection District 9 and under baseball team, which competes in the Lincoln County Athletic Association. He played in the LCAA All-Star Game in each of the last three years.
