Adrian Combs, Aubrey Janes and Emma Rodgers were the Montgomery County Wildcats’ representatives on the all-Class 3, District 7 basketball team for 2026.
Janes and Rodgers earned all-district honors for the second year in a row, while Combs picked up his first all-district award. The three players were also named to the all-Eastern Missouri Conference basketball team.
Janes and Rodgers helped the Wildcats finish 17-11, their ninth straight winning season. Rodgers was the team’s top scorer in district tournament play with 22 points, including 14 against North Callaway in the quarterfinals. Janes had a 15-point effort against North Callaway.
The Wildcats beat North Callaway 55-25 to advance to the district semifinals, where they lost to Centralia 46-13.
Combs was the Wildcats’ lone player on the all-district boys basketball team despite scoring a combined 14 points in two games of the Class 3, District 7 tournament at South Callaway High School. He scored nine against South Callaway in the quarterfinals and five against Centralia in the semifinals.
The MCHS boys lost to Centralia 55-43 on Feb. 26 to finish their season at 13-14. They beat South Callaway 63-48 two nights before.
