A traveling library summer series has recently started at Wabash Park in Montgomery City and will continue at 6:30 p.m. on June 22 at Bellflower City Park.
The series is hosted by Montgomery City Elementary librarian Tara Polston, who is also the summer school administrator. She received a $3,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and was able to provide free books with the donation. Cool treats were donated by Tina Winick, the Montgomery City Dollar General manager. The series was sponsored by local partners Yard Birds, Girl Scouts and Krafty Kids with Molly Taylor.
