Montgomery County senior Keaton Reagan finished in a tie for 25th out of 78 golfers with a two-day score of 183 at the Class 2 state tournament on May 15-16 at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield. He was the Wildcats’ lone representative at the state event.

Reagan was in a three-way tie for 17th after the first day with an 85. He shot an 88 the next day to come up 10 places short of an all-state medal.

Reagan clinched his first state tournament berth on May 8 after finishing in a tie for fifth with Sam Walterer of Lutheran St. Charles with a 10-over-82 at the Class 2, District 2 tournament at Norwoods Golf Club in Hannibal.

MCHS had a state qualifier for the third year in a row. Keenan James and Logan Hutcheson were the Wildcats’ state representatives in each of the last two years.

In addition to his trip to state, Reagan won the individual championship at the Eastern Missouri Conference tournament, placed fourth at the Warrenton Invitational and earned medalist honors in several matches.

Reagan plans to attend the University of Central Missouri next year.
